Ultrapetrol (Bahamas) Limited is an industrial maritime logistics provider that offers comprehensive marine transportation services across a wide geographical area, encompassing South America, Europe, Central America, North America, and Asia. The company's operations are strategically divided into three key segments: River Transport, Offshore Support, and Ocean Freight. The River Transport division focuses its activities within South America's Hidrovia region, operating a substantial fleet of dry and tanker barges, supported by push boats. Its dry barges are designed to move agricultural products, forestry items, iron ore, and various other commodities, while the tanker barges specialize in carrying petroleum products, vegetable oils, and other liquid cargoes. Lastly, the Ocean Freight division manages oceangoing vessels, which are primarily used for shipping petroleum products and also operate a container liner service within the Argentine coastal trade.
